Dr Ganes is an Academic Foundation Doctor at Imperial College London pursuing the Academic Medicine Rotation (subspecialty Academic Cardiology). He was a delegate at the High Yield AFP Course last year, and ranked 3rd out of ~700 candidates nationally in the AFP application in London. He has several first author publications and presented orally at international conferences. He is passionate about medical education and looks forward to helping future High Yield AFP delegates excel and rank highly.

Ms. Jajini Varghese is a Plastic Surgeon with an interest in Oncoplastic Breast and Reconstructive Microsurgery. current interests are in the application of Robotics in surgery. She has undergone advanced training in microsurgery, fat grafting using stem cells as well as Body Contouring methods.
As an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at University College, London she lectures and examines students on the MSc in Burns, Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery.
She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery (FRCS-UK), Member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and a Member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS).
Ms. Varghese trained on the Pan-Thames Rotation in London at the Royal Free Hospital, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, St. Barts Hospital, University College London Hospital and Chelmsford Hospital.
She holds an MPhil and PhD on the Genetics of Breast Cancer from the University of Cambridge on a Full Cambridge Commonwealth Scholarship where she focused on Breast Density. This work led to the identification of genetic determinants (ZNF 365) for high mammographic breast density which is a strong heritable risk factor for Breast Cancer. Her work has been published in highly cited journals including multiple papers in Nature Genetics.
Ms Varghese has won several other prizes for original work presented at National and International Conferences around the world including Kings College London, University of North Carolina, (USA), Duke University (USA), BAPRAS London, NIHES, Rotterdam, European Genetics Conference- Amsterdam, The American Thoracic Society, The International Cancer Imaging Congress and The Wellcome Sanger Institute among others. Ms Varghese also wrote the book chapter in ‘Early Breast Cancer: From Screening to Multidisciplinary Management’. She is a reviewer for several journals and is an Editorial Reviewer for the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
