Dr Anita Mohan, BSc MBBS PhD, completed her medical degree at Imperial College London and a Bachelors with honors in management. Dr. Mohan then completed 8 years of clinical surgical and plastic surgery training in the UK in London and Cambridge training programs. She also completed a one year clinical fellowship in plastic surgery in S. Africa. She received a PhD from the University of Cambridge and worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Mayo Clinic for 2 years with a focus on microsurgical breast reconstruction and perforator flap vascular anatomy for awarded the Blond Surgical Research Fellowship Award and received the highly prestigious Aris and Gale Lectureship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She serves on national society committees including the American Plastic Surgery Education Network Editorial Committee and Reconstructive Surgery Trials Network (UK), ASPS Resident committees and a reviewer for several peer reviewed journals. She successfully applied to the integrated Plastic Surgery match, one of the most competitive specialties in the US residency application process and is currently a PGY5 in the integrated Plastic Surgery program at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota, the US #1 ranked hospital. She has extensively presented at national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, and received several awards and grants during her training.
