Brief info
Dr. Panos Kerezoudis, MD, MS was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University in 2015. Shortly after, he joined the Mayo Clinic Neuro-Informatics Laboratory under the mentorship of Dr. Bydon, while simultaneously being accepted into the Mayo Graduate School's Master's program in Clinical and Translational Science. The focus of his work has been on comparative effectiveness and patient-reported outcomes research in the realm of cranial and spine surgery. He also serves as one of the co-investigators working on regenerative medicine stem cell trials involving people with degenerative spine disease and traumatic spinal cord injury.
Dr. Kerezoudis is currently a PGY-3 in Neurologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He is working on human brain motor electrophysiology and brain-computer interface studies with Dr. Kai Miller. He will be pursuing an enfolded Ph.D. degree in Computational Neuroscience. He is looking forward to mentoring the next generation of medical students and graduates across the globe that aspire to pursue neurosurgery residency in the United States.
