Brief info

Mr Shehan Hettiaratchy is the Lead Surgeon, Major Trauma Director and Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He graduated from Oxford University in 1994 with prizes in surgery and medicine. He trained in surgery in London, Birmingham, Australia and the US, with three specialist fellowships (microsurgery, hand and wrist surgery, aesthetic surgery). He obtained a FRCS (Plast) in 2007 and has been a consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust since 2009. He has expertise in Adult and childrens' hand and wrist surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, complex extremity reconstruction and management of major trauma.

Mr Hettiaratchy is vastly experienced in Plastic Surgery recruitment, and sits on the interview panel for plastic surgery clinical and academic appointments.
